American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele night-shift position requiring remote telemetry monitoring experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

• Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Specialized care population includes stroke (neuro/CVA) patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed
• Float required to all Cone Health facilities as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Remote telemetry monitoring experience required; on-unit telemetry monitoring preferred

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:5-6 patient ratios required
• Required skills:
  
  IV therapy/phlebotomy, accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs
• Feeding tube care and management experience required
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac required
• Nasal cannula and dysrhythmia interpretation/EKG skills required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)

• Provide care for cardiac telemetry and neurological/CVA patient populations, including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, and no local rates apply
