Honda Aero, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Engine Quality Inspector in Burlington, NC. In this precision aviation inspection role, you will verify engine parts, sub-assemblies, and composite components against FAA type designs and Quality Management System standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform visual inspections of metallic parts, composite components, welds, and laser-drilled cooling holes.
- Conduct dimensional inspection layouts utilizing calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and contracers.
- Operate automated Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and optical measurement equipment.
- Prepare metallurgical test samples for optical microscopy and filter debris for SEM analysis.
- Audit supplier material certifications and log nonconformance reports in enterprise quality systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of precision inspection experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with precision gauges (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges).
- Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, notes, and GD&T symbols.
- 20/20 corrected vision with no color blindness.
