Accountant – Part‑Time – Burlington, VT
Join YPTC, a national leader in outsourced accounting services to nonprofit organizations. We are hiring a dedicated, personable Accountant to work a hybrid full‑time 35‑hour week or part‑time schedule in South Burlington, VT.
Responsibilities- Process weekly and monthly accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly financial statements and related analysis
- Track and monitor grants and maintain grant records
- Project and monitor cash flow
- Coordinate with clients, client staff, boards, and finance committees
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of related public‑accounting or nonprofit experience; 5+ years preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience with Quick Books or willingness to learn multiple accounting software packages
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Willingness to travel to client offices as needed when safe
- Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required
