The Plant Biology department is seeking an administrative assistant for a position with the University of Vermont. The role will work closely with the department Chair and support faculty and staff in a variety of administrative duties.

ResponsibilitiesThe assistant will schedule courses, assign teaching spaces, and coordinate course and curriculum changes. The position will create and manage the department website, listservs, email accounts, Teams and SharePoint sites, assign advisors and manage changes of major/minor for undergraduate students, and assist with grad student recruitment and event planning. The assistant will coordinate maintenance requests, manage the department van, keep the office stocked with supplies, and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications- Associate’s degree and three years of related experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and quick learning abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, website management, UVM systems and software.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
$22.50/hour - $25.50/hour
