General Purpose
The Program Director provides leadership in administration and facilitation for the Bolton After school Ski and Ride program alongside the Program Coordinator. The director will act as the supervisory staff on‑site, on buses, and in transitions at all times during the program. The Program Director will be the lead direct service staff to participants and families enrolled in the program and will administer, evaluate, and enhance operations across locations during the program hours.
The position will work six to eight hours per week, selected Thursday evenings, January‑March 2026.

Essential Job Functions- Follow all departmental rules and regulations.
- Provide outstanding customer service to participants, volunteers, and relevant stakeholders such as families, mountain staff, and community members.
- Model and exemplify outdoor education best practices and BPRW core values across locations and audiences.
- Facilitate program procedures on‑site and during transitions, alongside the Program Director.
- Organize program materials, rosters, registration, waivers, and contracts; coordinate staff and volunteer roles, placement, and tasks.
- Supervise participants, volunteers, and staff.
- Recognize potential or present safety hazards and report deficiencies to the Program Director.
- Ride the bus to and from Bolton Valley Ski Resort with participants to provide supervision during transportation and at the mountain/clubhouse.
- Be on site before and after the program for set up and take down; attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Report all accidents/incidents within jurisdiction to supervisor; administer proper first aid as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to actively support city diversity, equity, and cultural competency efforts and work effectively across diverse cultures and constituencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through ongoing training and professional development.
- Previous experience working with children in group or individualized settings preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework in education, childhood development, family studies, or recreation preferred. Ability to supervise and organize activities for children.
- Ability to handle discipline problems, collaborate with co‑workers and supervisors, and work independently under general supervision.
- Knowledge of safety principles and practices for group activities. Knowledge of a variety of recreation, leisure activities and group games.
- Cooperative attitude and team‑player spirit.
- First‑Aid / CPR training required. Certification courses available after hire. Enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to work with children and creativity.
