Posting Summary
The Career and Experiential Learning Coordinator will play a vital role in building a national employer network for the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences ( CEMS ) in collaboration with the CEMS Career Readiness Coordinator as well as the university’s Career Center. This position focuses on creating and strengthening relationships with a broad range of companies, with an emphasis on growing alumni connections and developing a robust pipeline of internship, co-op, and job opportunities and other experiential learning programs for the college.
The coordinator will be a primary liaison between students, faculty, and industry partners, ensuring that CEMS students have access to high-quality professional experiences that align with their career goals and academic learning.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Higher Education Administration, Career/Counseling, Human Resources, Business or a STEM discipline) and 2-4 years of experience in career services, employer relations, corporate recruiting or a related field. Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships and a strong network. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s degree. Experience working with alumni engagement or donor relations. Knowledge of engineering, mathematical sciences, and physics fields and related career paths. Familiarity with career services management systems such as Handshake or similar platforms.
