Probationary period may be required. Occasional evening and/or weekend work required. Background Check required. Union Position – Yes (UVMSU).

• Serve as a central resource for graduate student success and well‑being by coordinating access to academic, wellness, and intercultural support services.
• Act as primary contact for students and faculty.
• Organize orientation and campus resource events.
• Promote academic achievement through advising, tutoring, and mentoring programs.
• Liaise with health and accessibility services to ensure academic continuity.
• Advance intercultural excellence initiatives and develop programs that foster belonging and equity.
• Manage sensitive data and records.
• Prepare detailed communications and reports.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of university policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Three years of related experience, including a student support role and documented experience supporting intercultural initiatives.
• Basic knowledge of mental health issues common in student populations.
• Confident verbal communication skills to engage students, faculty, and staff.
• Proficient user of MS Office suite and software applications to produce documents, reports, seminars, and workshop materials.
• Effective written communication, analytical, reasoning, and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently under pressure, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.

• Experience working in a college/university setting, preferably with a graduate population.
• Mental health counseling experience.
• Event management experience and digital media skills.
• Experience working with international students.
• Familiarity with Banner, Repgen, Canva, Navigate
  360, and Drupal.
