Medical Physicist (Therapy)

Board-certified or board-eligible therapeutic medical physicist to join a team of 8 therapy physicists at UVM Medical Center (UVMMC) in Burlington, VT. Clinical service is provided to the UVMMC Network Department of Radiation Oncology with potential travel to satellite sites up to 2–4 days per month.

• Provide clinical physics service in a LEED-certified radiation oncology facility with three linacs, HDR, CT simulator, and active special procedure programs.
• Support the network’s transition to six modern Varian linear accelerators, including planning and commissioning of the Ethos system.
• Participate in resident education, clinical trials implementation, and support of the UVM Radiology Residency, Cardiology Fellowship, and Medical Laboratory and Radiation Sciences programs.
• Engage in national and international societies, serving on and chairing committees.

• Education: MS, DMP, or PhD in medical physics required; must be fully board certified within three years of hire.
• Experience: Board certification or board eligibility by the A , CCPM, or equivalent required.
• Location: Base site UVMMC in Burlington, VT; travel to satellite sites up to 2–4 days per month may be required.
