The Public Health Specialist II - Chronic Disease works with municipalities and regional planning commissions in Chittenden County to integrate health and equity considerations into community plans, projects, policies, and programs. The role involves analyzing community needs, collecting and evaluating data, and providing technical assistance across areas including transportation, housing, food security, and environmental health. This permanent, full-time position is based in Burlington, Vermont and supports the Division of Local Health's mission to advance equity and improve health outcomes for all residents.
Keyqualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in public health, human services, emergency response, or community engagement
- Associate degree in public health, public administration, or related field with two years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in public health or related field with one year of relevant experience
- Master's degree in public health, public administration, or related field
- Experience with health equity analysis and community planning
- Ability to travel and work in both office and field settings
