Systems Engineer – Platform Administrator (Burlington, VT)

Via Logic LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer – Platform Administrator (SME Level: Network and Computer Systems Administrator) to oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise systems across hybrid on‑premise and cloud environments. This position ensures system reliability, availability, and security by managing server infrastructure, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement through automation and proactive issue resolution.

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years of relevant technical experience
• Residence: Current U.S. residence and within U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years
• Location: Burlington, VT
• Trail Pass: U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a Public Trust clearance

• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise servers, networks, and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, AWS/Azure).
• Manage and support Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability using enterprise monitoring tools.
• Implement and maintain system security measures, patches, and updates to ensure compliance.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using Power Shell, Python, or Ansible.
• Collaborate with network and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration across hybrid infrastructures.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration baselines, and change records.
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high‑availability configurations.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation and mentor junior system administrators.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in VMware, Active Directory, Power Shell, and automation tools (Ansible, SCCM).
• Strong background in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting hybrid environments (on‑premises and cloud).
• Familiarity with network security, patch management, and compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
• U.S. Citizenship required (Public Trust eligibility).

  Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• CompTIA Security+ or Network+
• AWS or Azure Administrator Certification
