Welder – 2nd Shift

• Set up the work area, select and verify the material for production, and meet the daily welding production and quality demands of the Weld Shop.
• Weld stainless steel and black iron in different positions and on different gauges; occasionally weld other materials.
• Troubleshoot the welding equipment.
• Comply with health, safety (including OSHA), and environmental procedures and keep the area clean.
• Adhere to established production philosophies such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and TWI methodologies to increase production, safety, and quality.
• Continue learning and expanding your capacity by increasing knowledge and skill.
• Perform various other assignments per Department Lead’s direction.
• Other duties and related work may be assigned as necessary.

• Minimum of 1 year experience performing GTAW or GMAW welding.
• Strong GMAW, GTAW welding skills and knowledge of equipment operation.
• Able to read and understand cut sheets and engineering prints thoroughly.
• Knowledge of basic metallurgy and weld symbols.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Basic math skills, including arithmetic and geometry, and accurate tape‑measure reading to 1/16″.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• English proficiency sufficient to follow directions, adhere to safety, and meet production standards.
• Knowledge of basic sheet‑metal layout.

• Frequent standing, bending, sitting, and manual work required.
• Close vision required; ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lb unassisted.
