Advertising/Posting Title Cancer Communications Professional

Provide specialized multimedia services and perform marketing, public relations, and design functions to maximize the reach of existing University of Vermont Cancer Center communications initiatives. Participate in the development of concepts, strategies, goals, and objectives associated with building the UVM Cancer Center’s (UVMCC) brand and expanded brand reach. Assist with the expansion and maintenance of communication initiatives across various platforms including e-newsletters, web (Drupal 10), print communications, and social media channels.

Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to ensure consistency and quality of production materials and provide general public relations assistance specific to the UVMCC. Use creativity to design, produce, and place branded materials. Use judgement in prioritizing work and applying methods and make recommendations for updated tools and techniques where appropriate.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to four years’ experience.
• Demonstrated experience performing a variety of tasks associated with graphic design, web editing, and producing/creating collateral materials for marketing and public relations efforts.
• Previous experience working in a team‑based environment.

• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Video editing experience.
• Attention to detail and quality control, including proofreading.

Driver’s license required – to occasionally drive Cancer Center van.

Conditions:

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Occasional evening and/or weekends required, Hybrid schedule with option to split time between campus and elsewhere, Background Check required.

Anticipated Pay Range $56,000-$65,000/yr.
