Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a Float Pool night shift position requiring Level 1 trauma and teaching facility experience.

• Active RN license (VT or Compact)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience at a large Level 1 trauma, academic teaching facility required
• Experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry specialty required
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Complete work history must be provided including bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Any employment gaps over 90 days must be explained

• Float Pool position within Medical Surgical/Telemetry units at a hospital
• Floating required across support areas including hematology, oncology, orthopedics, med tele, general surgery, neurology (including neuro SDU), neurosurgery, ENT, and GYN, and to units outside the candidate's POD with similar skill requirements, including ED boarders and surge areas
• Travelers float first within the central pool
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 36 hours per week
• Minimum of every other weekend required, with scheduling flexibility to meet unit and patient care needs
• No block schedules permitted
• Schedule runs Monday to Sunday
• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg Tele and related float units supporting diverse patient populations
• Bi-weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Must work 2 of the following 4 holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended as public transportation is not accessible in the area
