Pay Range: $21.75 - $34.05

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Manages the day-to-day operations of the meat department, including the fresh meat case, deli, frozen case, and custom cut department (where applicable). Responsibilities include achieving budgeted financial results, ordering products, human resource/training, and inventory control. Ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures. Maintains excellent customer relations by offering friendly service and courteous attitude.

Satisfies customers by providing high-quality, fresh products to promote sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Handle and merchandise all meat products according to company policy.
  • Display comprehensive knowledge of all meat products to customers.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
  • Achieve all budgeted financial figures for the Meat Department, including sales, gross profit, shrink, inventory levels, and payroll.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Meat Department, including scheduling and training.
  • Order meat products and implement inventory control methods.
  • Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers, and grinders, adhering to safety standards.
  • Oversee all Meat Department associates and ensure policy compliance.
  • Train all meat associates per corporate and state policies.
  • Maintain all corporate assets within the meat department.
  • Follow sanitation and temperature guidelines in accordance with corporate, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain grind logs and meat logs as per store policy.
  • Assist with store operations as needed, at the discretion of the Store Manager.
  • Control shrink through adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Must be at least 18 years old.
    • Ability to manage others and follow through to achieve results.
    • High School Degree or equivalent.
    • 3+ years of related experience.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Basic computer skills.
