As an HVAC Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our facilities. You'll perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a wide range of HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, heat pumps, and more.

This position, Military Maintenance Specialist III - Limited Service (Job Requisition #53439), is open to all State employees and external applicants. Work is performed at military facilities in VT. An incumbent often works near or with hazardous materials, including ammunition and high voltage. Work requires entering confined spaces, removing snow on runways and exposure to loud noises. An incumbent operates heavy equipment and possession of a Commercial Driver's License is required. An incumbent must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment and materials weighing as much as fifty pounds.

Work is performed in all kinds of weather. Some outside of normal working hours may be required. Travel and overnight stay may be included.

High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more in Construction or Facilities Maintenance.

OR

At least one (1) or more years of Military Maintenance Specialist II.

Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Must possess CDL license or complete State approved HVAC course.

• Five (5) or more years of work experience in building construction or maintenance.
• Building Trades/Vocational Education
• Previous experience working on a military installation.
• Knowledge of Building Automation Systems.
• Locksmith knowledge.
