We are seeking a Software Engineer (Java/Linux) to join our semiconductor test automation team. This position centers on developing high-performance software for automated test systems. The ideal candidate is a strong software developer passionate about building scalable, maintainable engineering solutions in a Linux environment. Experience with electrical test systems or automated instrumentation is a plus, but a solid grounding in software design is essential.
Key Responsibilities- Software Development: Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications and frameworks that drive automated semiconductor test processes on Linux.
- Test Automation: Build tools, APIs, and automation frameworks to accelerate test program generation, validation, and reporting for the Advantest V93000 platform.
- Integration & Interface Design: Develop modular, extensible software that interfaces with test instrumentation, device models, and data analysis tools.
- Debugging & Optimization: Analyze performance bottlenecks, identify root causes, and optimize system throughput across multiple test configurations.
- Collaboration & Agile Development: Work closely within a cross-functional team of software, test, and hardware engineers in a collaborative Agile environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging capability in complex software systems.
- Experience with Advantest V93000 or other ATE systems running SmarTEST 7/8.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor testing

, or hardware-software integration
. - Familiarity with compiler design or code generation concepts such as formal grammars
, parsing
, or abstract syntax trees (AST). - Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Ruby, or Bash) for test and automation workflows.
- Understanding of basic electronics or digital systems is a plus.
