Java Software Engineer

We are seeking a Software Engineer (Java/Linux) to join our semiconductor test automation team. This position centers on developing high-performance software for automated test systems. The ideal candidate is a strong software developer passionate about building scalable, maintainable engineering solutions in a Linux environment. Experience with electrical test systems or automated instrumentation is a plus, but a solid grounding in software design is essential.

• Software Development: Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications and frameworks that drive automated semiconductor test processes on Linux.
• Test Automation: Build tools, APIs, and automation frameworks to accelerate test program generation, validation, and reporting for the Advantest V93000 platform.
• Integration & Interface Design: Develop modular, extensible software that interfaces with test instrumentation, device models, and data analysis tools.
• Debugging & Optimization: Analyze performance bottlenecks, identify root causes, and optimize system throughput across multiple test configurations.
• Collaboration & Agile Development: Work closely within a cross-functional team of software, test, and hardware engineers in a collaborative Agile environment.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming.
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capability in complex software systems.

• Experience with Advantest V93000 or other ATE systems running SmarTEST 7/8.
• Working knowledge of semiconductor testing
