Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician III role in Burlington, WA. Key Responsibilities:- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced solar stringer machines used in the automation of solar panel production.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on process automation equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and equipment modifications.
- Calibrate, align, and test machine systems to ensure accuracy in soldering and string formation processes.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools, schematics, and software interfaces to support troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Document all maintenance activities, including parts usage, repair actions, and equipment performance data.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff on technical procedures and safe practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and ensure compliance with workplace and equipment safety standards.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as a high-level Maintenance Technician, preferably in automation or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of process automation, robotics, PLCs, servo systems, and high-speed automated machinery.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Experience with soldering or precision assembly processes is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Willingness to work swing shifts and adapt to changing production needs.
