Assistant Manager

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar, Burlington, WA

Applebee’s® Assistant Manager will be engaged in all aspects of day‑to‑day restaurant operations, leading a team that delivers a consistently great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely, friendly service in accordance with company guidelines and achieve unit objectives.
  • Cultivate a culture that aligns with Flynn Group core values and beliefs.
  • Respond promptly to all verbal guest complaints, correcting issues immediately.
  • Prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits as established by Flynn Applebee’s standards.
  • Maintain departmental inventory levels and control cost in assigned department.
  • Perform line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards.
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands.
  • Maintain effective safety and security programs, sanitation, and cleanliness.
  • Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team member and management candidates.
  • Use management development programs for continuous growth of leadership skills.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork and maintain accurate inventories.
  • Assure compliance with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations, and Flynn Applebee’s standards.
Qualifications
  • At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications (plus).
  • Excellent problem solver, stress resilient, and team leader.
Compensation & Benefits

Assistant Managers earn $17.48 to $25.00 per hour (approximately $50,000 to $71,500 annually based on a 50‑hour week). Potential for monthly bonus where applicable. Benefits include profit sharing/bonus, medical/dental/vision, HSA, short/long term disability, life, hospital indemnity, critical illness, AD&D, legal, 401k with match, paid vacation, paid sick leave, and additional PTO provisions for managers.

Physical Standards
  • Work various shifts, including weekends, and stand and exert mobility for up to ten (10) hours in length.
  • Safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Read and write to facilitate communication. Must possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment.
