Overview

You will help identify customer needs, answer questions about our products and recommend solutions. Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct customers upon their entry, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Provide accurate product information and answer customer queries with expertise.
  • Inform customers about current discounts, special offers, and promotions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products, trends, and ongoing promotions to guide upselling.
  • Organize and restock merchandise on shelves for optimal presentation.
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately, handling cash and credit card payments.
  • Assist in maintaining the back stock room and setting up appealing merchandise displays on the sales floor.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks to keep stock levels accurate.
  • Undertake various administrative tasks as directed by Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Team Lead.
  • Participate in store opening and closing responsibilities adhering to operational guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a retail sales associate role or similar, demonstrating effective customer engagement.
  • Familiarity with inventory stocking procedures.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions, pricing, and inventory management.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Excellent communication skills for building trust with customers and team members.
  • Comfortable and efficient in dynamic, high-energy settings.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, dependable nature, and punctuality.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Interest in and appreciation for Daiso's products and brand.
  • Physical capacity to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform pushing, pulling, and bending tasks.
