• Bag groceries at checkout for customers and aim for at least five items per bag while ensuring nothing is damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and clean spills, trash, and other areas inside and outside the store.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return to designated areas.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Understand the store's layout and locate products as needed.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues, and notifying store management.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any repair needs.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering product questions.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
