Base Pay Range$16.91/hr - $17.41/hr
Responsibilities- Bag groceries at checkout for customers and aim for at least five items per bag while ensuring nothing is damaged.
- Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and clean spills, trash, and other areas inside and outside the store.
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return to designated areas.
- Inform customers of grocery specials.
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and conduct price checks for cashiers.
- Understand the store's layout and locate products as needed.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues, and notifying store management.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
- Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting any repair needs.
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering product questions.
- Work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
- Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Effective communication skills.
- Retail experience is preferred but not necessary.
