The Electrician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of facility electrical equipment. This position performs installation, monitoring, maintenance, repair, and/or design modification of high‑tech distributed manufacturing and industrial process control systems.
Responsibilities- Repair, replace and install sensors, actuators, transformers, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, electric eyes, conduit systems, switches, and defective wiring.
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace PLCs, Servo and Frequency Drives and related electronic hardware.
- Disassemble, inspect, reassemble, troubleshoot, repair and replace malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input/output boards, controllers, servos, gears, sprockets, chains, knives, etc.) using test equipment.
- Use blueprints and wiring diagrams to plan and execute electrical repairs and installations.
- Make proper use of tools such as hacksaws, pipe benders, pipe threaders, hammers, screwdrivers, splice wires and install conduit, panel boards, switch boxes, motors, drives and other electrical equipment.
- May test or recommend new equipment in the electronic field, staying well-informed of the latest state‑of‑the‑art technology.
- Clean, lubricate and adjust guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, servos, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.
- Install change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders, etc.) on our production machinery.
- Provide technical expertise to train and support production and create an environment of continuous learning.
- Maintain housekeeping and sanitation of work area and equipment.
- Use Nestlé computer systems for accurate tracking of product as required.
- Train others on job tasks of this role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience. Proficiency in electrical skills: PLC programming, electrical circuits, schematics, servo motors, and familiarity with 460/220 3‑PH wiring.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with groups or employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning AbilityREASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
