Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing partners closely with the Director of Nursing to support clinical operations, staff development, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys mentoring others and being present on the floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Nursing in daily clinical and administrative operations
  • Coach, guide, and lead nursing staff to deliver high‑quality, resident‑centered care
  • Promote a positive, team‑oriented work environment built on trust and respect
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Participate in survey preparedness and ongoing quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist with staff education, competencies, and performance development
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for best practices
Qualifications
  • Active RN license (state‑specific)
  • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care preferred
  • Strong knowledge of regulations, clinical standards, and survey processes
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem‑solving skills
  • A commitment to ethical leadership and continuous improvement
