RN - ER

• Work in a 21-bed emergency department with a 6-bed annex
• Care for patients of all ages
• Maintain a 1:4 RN patient ratio on both days and nights
• 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome
• Critical care level skill set required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/TNS, CPI or MOAB
• Charting system: EPIC EMR
• IV Pumps:
  Alaris
• Medication Dispensing:
  Pyxis
• Patient monitoring: GE Monitors with nursing station telemetry monitoring
• Weekend rotation: 1 weekend per month
• No call required
• No holiday expectations
• Scrub color:
  Any solid color, professional - no graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking available
• At least 1 orientation shift provided to learn workflow

This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. It features an active forensic nurse examiner program with an RN on-call 24/7. The emergency department is supported around the clock by a charge nurse with a reduced patient assignment, a hospitalist in-house, an ED physician in-house, a health unit coordinator, phlebotomy assistance for peripheral blood draws, and nursing station telemetry monitoring.
