The department is staffed by board‑certified emergency physicians, ensuring rapid, expert evaluation and treatment. It is also Stroke Certified and offers Telestroke technology, allowing clinicians to consult in real time with stroke specialists at Aurora St.

Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee-supporting faster diagnosis and time‑critical interventions

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by American Heart Association within 6 months of hire.
