- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for standalone and consolidated entities.
- Perform complex consolidations across multiple legal entities, including intercompany eliminations, investments, and equity accounting.
- Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with GAAP and research technical accounting issues as required.
- Review trial balances, subledgers, and financial results to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit requests.
- Prepare management reporting packages, financial analysis, cash flow reporting, and partnership analytics.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and overhead analysis.
- Review work prepared by junior team members and participate in peer reviews.
- Analyze financial information for externally managed investments.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
- Support system implementations, reporting enhancements, and finance‑related projects.
- Contribute to training initiatives and knowledge sharing within the accounting team.
- CPA designation (or legacy designation) with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in public practice and/or a complex corporate accounting environment.
- Experience with in a Family Office or similar multi‑entity investment environment.
- Strong experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP and technical accounting standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience with financial reporting, management reporting, and audit preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, take ownership of responsibilities, and work independently.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
