Senior Accountant in Manufacturing

Be a vital part of a Burnaby, BC manufacturing company as a Senior Accountant. Engage in impactful accounting practices including inventory valuation and cost analysis.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Controller and have hands-on involvement in the accounting cycle. As a CPA or close to it, you will benefit from real-world experience beyond public practice. You’ll manage accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and assist in financial reporting, keeping the business aligned with its financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Facilitate month-end and year-end financial closures
• Support job costing and overhead allocation processes
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and WIP tracking
• Provide financial insights to operational teams
Requirements:
• CPA designation preferred or nearing completion
• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience
• Skilled with Excel and ERP software systems
• Effective communicator with meticulous attention to detail
• Willing to learn in a complex manufacturing atmosphere
