About Us
We're a manufacturing company located in Burnaby, BC and serving clients across Western Canada and beyond. We take pride in what we produce and how we run our business — quality and efficiency matter to us, and so does the team behind the numbers.
The RoleYou’ll work closely with our Controller and become a genuine part of how we track, manage, and report on the financial health of the business. This isn't a "push paper and wait" kind of role — you’ll be involved in real accounting work from day one, including cost and inventory accounting in an active manufacturing environment. If you’re recently designated (or close to it) and want to build meaningful experience beyond public practice, this is a great place to do it.
WhatYou'll Be Doing
You’ll support the full accounting cycle — AP, AR, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, the works. Month-end and year-end will keep you busy, and you’ll dig into cost accounting activities like job costing, overhead allocation, and standard vs. actual cost analysis. Inventory is a big part of what we do, so you’ll help with cycle counts, WIP tracking, and valuation. Beyond that, you’ll pitch in on financial reporting, GST/HST filings, fixed assets, and review prep — and you’ll work directly with our operations and production teams when cost or inventory questions come up.
WhatWe're Looking For
You’re a CPA (designated or close to it), and at least 1 year of relevant experience under your belt. Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is a real plus, but it's not a deal breaker if you're eager to learn. You’re proficient with Excel and have worked with at least one ERP system (Sage, Net Suite, Dynamics, Quick Books, Epicor — whatever it may be).
More than anything, you’re someone who pays attention to the details, communicates well, and enjoys working with people across different departments.
We offer a salary that will be dependent on your experience and where you're at with your designation, plus a solid benefits package covering extended health, dental, vision, and life insurance. We also have RRSP matching, support for your ongoing CPA CPD requirements, free but limited parking, and a team that genuinely wants to see you succeed.
