Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Our client is a well established specialty manufacturer/distributor with its head office located in Burnaby. An excellent position has arisen for a Controller to report directly to the President and assume a leadership role in their dynamic company. The successful candidate, who should be a designated CPA, should have previous experience as a Controller and will be responsible for the supervision of 2-3 accounting department employees.

You will get involved in preparing financial statements, management reports, cash flow reporting, budget preparation and variance analysis and bank reporting. This company owns and operates a second manufacturing company in Europe, and has a network of showrooms around various European countries. The Controller will prepare monthly financial statements for the manufacturing division as well as for the individual sales showrooms and the companies incorporated overseas.

The successful candidate should be an excellent communicator. Effective liaison with a variety of operations personnel is required in providing human resource support and business unit analysis.
