Senior Accountant; Public Practice

What You’ll Do

• Manage a portfolio of corporate clients
• Prepare and review compilation engagements and corporate income tax returns
• Review bookkeeping files and adjusting journal entries
• Communicate directly with clients by email, phone, and video meetings
• Research and resolve technical accounting and tax issues
• Mentor and support bookkeepers and future junior accountants
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and client experience
• Work closely with the firm’s owner to build scalable processes and deliver exceptional client service

• 3–7+ years of Canadian public practice experience
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, compilation engagements, and bookkeeping review
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident managing client relationships independently
• Organized, proactive, and accountable
• Someone who enjoys coaching others and is interested in growing into a leadership position
• Experience with Xero, Tax Cycle, and Case Ware is considered an asset
• Salary: $80,000–100,000 per year, based on experience, technical capabilities, and leadership potential
