1. This regular full-time position is focused on processing transactions and managing financial records.
This position entails considerable variety in clerical tasks within the accounting unit. You will be responsible for processing both accounts payable and receivable, auditing invoices, and rectifying discrepancies. Your strong judgment and attention to detail will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, while complex issues will be referred to supervisors for review.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process financial transactions including accounts payable/receivable
• Conduct invoice analysis through vendor reconciliation
• Maintain departmental files accurately
• Resolve coding issues independently
• Provide assistance and information to vendors and colleagues
Requirements:
• Grade 12 education with accounting courses completed
• Related accounting experience or equivalent training
• Understanding of accounting methods and procedures
• Strong attention to detail in financial tasks
• Proficiency in relevant financial software tools
Use your accounting knowledge and skills to contribute to Burnaby's financial operations.
