Senior Manufacturing Accountant

Lead financial close and reporting for manufacturing business units with advanced Excel, ERP systems, and strong cost accounting expertise. Horizon Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial performance across a multi-unit manufacturing organization. This financial lead partners with operational leaders, provides technical accounting guidance, and delivers insights for business decisions.
The role covers full-cycle accounting, IFRS/GAAP application, internal controls, and financial reporting. It also supports transitions, process improvements, strategic initiatives, and senior leadership. Candidates need manufacturing experience and at least five years in full-cycle accounting roles.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead financial close and reporting across assigned business units
Apply IFRS/GAAP guidance to complex accounting matters
Analyze inventory, labor, and material costs
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Coordinate documentation and activities for internal and external audits
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Canadian CPA designation or active Canadian CPA pursuit
At least five years of full-cycle accounting experience
Previous manufacturing experience and cost accounting knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system proficiency
