Senior SOX Controls Auditor

Lead SOX controls testing at Payward, applying internal audit expertise to revenue, financial close, and treasury processes within a crypto exchange.

This senior Internal Audit role owns business process SOX testing across Payward’s regulated entities and jurisdictions. You will assess control design and operating effectiveness, validate underlying information, and build a repeatable testing foundation. The work supports Audit Committee, external auditor, and regulatory assurance.

• Lead independent SOX testing across revenue, financial close, and treasury
• Evaluate control design, operation, procedures, results, and work papers
• Validate Information Used in Controls and Information Produced by Entity
• Build scalable testing programs, templates, and work papers
• Identify AI-enabled workflow and data analytics opportunities

• Eight-plus years in internal audit, external audit, or SOX compliance
• CPA certification required
• Experience testing business process controls across financial reporting processes
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, COSO, and PCAOB standards
• Crypto, fintech, payments, or digital asset accounting experience
