- Diagnose & Repair – Perform repairs and maintenance efficiently, accurately, and to dealership and factory standards.
- Own the Job – Receive repair orders, understand the concern, complete the work properly, and document what was done.
- Inspect with Purpose – Identify additional safety or service needs and communicate them clearly to the Service Advisor.
- Work as a Team – Coordinate with Advisors, Parts, dispatch, and other technicians to keep work moving.
- Quality Control – Road-test vehicles when required and make sure the repair is right before the vehicle goes back to the customer.
- Stay Current – Attend factory-sponsored training and keep up with technical bulletins and required online training.
- Support Apprentices – Help supervise and develop apprentice technicians when assigned.
- Protect the Customer’s Vehicle – Keep vehicles clean and treat every customer’s car with care and respect.
- Keep a Professional Shop – Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all company and regulatory safety requirements.
- Communicate Early – Let the team know quickly when additional work is needed, a repair is delayed, or the original repair is not required.
- Licensed Technician – You must be a fully licensed automotive technician.
- Strong Diagnostic Skills – You can troubleshoot problems, think through repairs, and find the right solution.
- Quality Mindset – You take pride in doing the job properly and consistently producing high‑quality work.
- Self‑Motivated – You stay organized, manage your time well, and don’t need someone standing over you.
- Team Mentality – You communicate well and work effectively with the rest of the Service Department.
- Good Judgment – You make sound decisions and know when to ask questions or escalation.
