Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Contract Administrator to join our team in a full-time, hybrid position. This role is ideal for someone ready to step in, take ownership of contract equipment packages, and help drive major projects forward. Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of contract equipment packages from award through delivery

  • Coordinate and monitor the flow of materials and equipment to meet project schedules

  • Collaborate with Procurement and Project Management teams to align deliveries with key milestones

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Design Teams, Clients, and Suppliers to resolve technical and commercial issues

  • Expedite supplier documentation and manage submittals

  • Coordinate inspections, respond to RFIs, and provide regular updates to the project team and client

  • Review and approve payment applications on behalf of Client

  • Issue Change Orders, Change Directives, and Site Instructions in accordance with client processes

  • Ensure compliance with contractual delivery terms and overall project requirements

  • Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • 6 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or commercial roles within project-based environments (or equivalent)

  • Hands-on experience managing contracts from start to finish, in either construction, engineering, infrastructure, or water and wastewater projects

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • A solid understanding of how construction projects come together—from shop drawing reviews through construction, start-up, commissioning, and closeout

  • A natural team player who can adapt to changing priorities, make sound decisions under pressure, and stay calm when working with a variety of stakeholders

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • A good grasp of contract terms, commercial agreements, and risk allocation (you don’t need to be a lawyer!)

  • A get-it-done, keen go-getter attitude with a proactive, forward-thinking mindset

  • Someone who takes ownership, thinks ahead, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to move things forward

  • Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $100000 to $145000.
