This position involves operating a switchboard system and managing inquiries made by telephone or in-person. You will play a crucial role in routing calls, providing information about departmental procedures, and handling clerical tasks. A good understanding of departmental operations and excellent communication skills are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer, screen, and connect telephone calls
• Assist with public inquiries and provide information
• Maintain and update various office records
• Type correspondence, forms, and reports as needed
• Record and monitor long-distance call activities
Requirements:
• High school graduation with relevant switchboard training
• Experience in clerical and typing tasks
• Familiarity with business English and basic arithmetic
• Excellent telephone manner and public communication skills
• RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance required
Support departmental efficiency and community relations through your role at the RCMP Call Centre.
