CA - Burnaby, BC - 3292 Production W | Compensation: CAD 80,000 - CAD 110,000 yearly

AECOM Buildings + Places, AECOM’s Architectural business, seeks an Architectural technologist to join our team based in Burnaby with remote/hybrid flexibility. This is a newly created role.

• Perform basic architectural/engineering calculations
• Prepare specifications, reports and related data tables
• Maintain liaison with design and drafting groups
• Prepare, review, and approve drawings as required
• Under supervision, complete design assignments of moderate to high complexity
• Familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline
• Learn the process of preparing designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline‐associated instructions in accordance with design practices, standards, and procedures
• Understand the purpose and use of vendor documents
• Perform material take‑offs for the discipline

Required:

• Post‑secondary education + Six (6) years of experience as or demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education

Preferred qualifications:

• More than ten years of experience as a Registered Architect with the OAA; experience with science & technology laboratories and facilities
• LEED certification and familiarity with AIA/AIBC/OAQ
• Proficiency in Revit, BIM, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and strong communication skills
