Roots Design Assistant - Kids Apparel

Become a part of Roots' design team as a Design Assistant specializing in Kids, Toddler, and Baby apparel. Collaborate closely to transform design concepts into high-quality products.

In this role, you will report to the Design Director while providing essential support throughout the product development process. Focus on market analysis, seasonal design creation, and maintaining accurate product information. Team collaboration and creativity are integral to the success of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research to identify seasonal trends

• Assist in developing kids' collections with original designs

• Ensure accuracy of Product Development Bills of Materials

• Participate in establishing seasonal colour standards

• Manage product information updates in PDM systems

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Fashion Design or related field

• 1–2 years of experience in design roles

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office

• Familiarity with PDM systems is an asset

• Strong collaborative and presentation skills
