Job Summary
Royal Columbian Hospital is looking for clinical Endocrinologist(s). The successful candidate(s) will provide both inpatient and outpatient care. You will work within an established and highly capable team of 7 endocrinologists and have the support of 2 inpatient endocrine nurse practitioners and 1 inpatient diabetes nurse educator.
Specifically, the Endocrinologist role will include:
- Management of inpatient general endocrinology, including diabetes, pituitary, neuroendocrine, and thyroid conditions.
- The highest standards of safe clinical and professional practice.
- A strong collegial link with members of the hospital staff involved in day to day care of patients.
- Leadership and support for existing initiatives for glycemic control and diabetes education.
- Supervision, mentorship and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
- Participation in weekly endocrinology continuing medical educational rounds.
- On-call coverage within the established endocrinology on-call roster.
The successful candidate must:
- Be eligible for FRCPC in Endocrinology & Metabolism.
- Be eligible for licensure in British Columbia.
- Additional training beyond fellowship is not required, however a special area of interest would be an asset.
Royal Columbian Hospital Division of Endocrinology is comprised of 7 established endocrinologists who conduct both inpatient and outpatient care. We are affiliated with the UBC Division of Endocrinology and have been consistently recognized for our clinical teaching. We are a collegial group who meet weekly for CME and mentorship of junior colleagues. Our members have opportunities to pursue quality improvement projects and clinical research.

The Royal Columbian Hospital redevelopment project is a multi-million, multi-phase project that will increase the hospital’s capacity, introduce advanced medical technologies and improve the health care environment for patients, staff and medical staff.
