Role and Facility Information

The Fraser Health Authority (FHA), British Columbia's and Canada’s largest and fastest growing health authority, is seeking two qualified 1.0 FTE pediatricians to join the medical staff at the Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH) providing urgent pediatric services.

We are a collegial group that works closely with obstetricians and emergency personnel. The RCH has approximately 3,100 births per year and a Level 3 nursery. The pediatrician group works from 08:00–17:00.

• Establish a pediatric practice in the area.
• Provide urgent pediatric services during 08:00–17:00.
• Participate in FHA subspecialty clinics.
• Collaborate with surrounding hospitals to ensure children and youth in nearby areas have access to inpatient services.
• Work closely with the BC Children’s Hospital and other local hospitals for seamless care.
• Participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and pursue a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Pediatrics.

• Canadian Medical Practice Act (CMPA) licensure
• Canadian Pediatric Subspecialty Board (CPSBC) eligibility
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) eligibility
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
