The Adult Metabolic Diseases Clinic at Vancouver General Hospital seeks a physician with a strong background in Internal Medicine and inborn errors of metabolism to see patients with rare genetic metabolic disorders for diagnostic and longitudinal care. We are a multi‑disciplinary care clinic with dietician, social work, nursing, genetic counselling, and clerical team members. We advance knowledge in the field through research and clinical trials.
Most care is outpatient, and we also provide a consultative service to inpatients throughout the province. We are the only clinic providing this care in BC.
Qualifications
Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Provisional
Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory

As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly‑funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
