First Aid Trainer

We are looking for a part-time First Aid Instructor to join our Paladin team! This position is forecasted to be 24-hours per week, teaching either Basic First Aid (BFA) or Intermediate First Aid (IFA) at our office in Burnaby. In this role, you will facilitate hands-on instruction, evaluate participant performance, and ensure our training meets certification and regulatory standards.

If interested in full-time work, additional hours can potentially be supplemented with work in the field as a Security Officer at one of our many sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver engaging and accurate BFA and IFA training
• Prepare training materials, equipment, and course documentation
• Evaluate participant performance and issue certifications as applicable
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and reports
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Stay current with first aid guidelines, safety standards, and instructional best practices
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve training programs
• Represent the organization professionally during all training sessions
• Other duties as required to meet operational needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have held an Intermediate First Aid / Occupational First Aid Level 2 certificate for at least two (2) years
• Instructor certifications for BFA and IFA, or the willingness and ability to attend and pass an instructor certification course (which will be paid and provided for)
• Prior teaching, training, or supervisory experience is considered an asset
• Physical ability to complete all duties of the role, which includes but is not limited to standing, walking, bending, and kneeling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting to groups
• Experience with Paladin Security and/or in the security industry would be an asset
