Job DescriptionJob Type: Full‑time Salary: $70,000 to $110,000
Position OverviewAs a GWO Instructor you will deliver high‑quality GWO training modules—including BST, BTT, and ART—ensuring compliance with all GWO standards and fostering a safe, engaging, and professional learning environment. You’ll play a critical role in preparing participants for the demands of working safely in the wind industry.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver GWO training modules (BST, BTT, ART, and others as qualified) in both classroom and practical settings
- Facilitate engaging, safe, and compliant instruction following GWO guidelines
- Maintain participant safety during practical exercises; ensure proper use of PPE
- Provide real‑time coaching, feedback, and evaluation using GWO’s taxonomy framework
- Upload participant records to WINDA and keep training documentation up to date
- Participate in annual instructor competency assessments and internal audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials, lesson plans, and assessments
- Optionally deliver additional programs (e.g., IRATA/SPRAT rope access, fall protection, PPE care, confined space rescue)
- GWO Instructor Qualification Training (IQT or IQTX), recorded in WINDA
- Approved to deliver all modules in BST, BTT, and ART
- Valid First Aid certification
- Instructor training certification or formal teaching qualification
- Experience in the wind industry or a relevant technical/safety field
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, equipment, and wind industry environments
- WINDA a compliant instructor profile
- Working at height or fall protection experience
- Confined space entry and rescue experience
- Rope access (IRATA or SPRAT Level 1 or higher)
- PPE inspection and maintenance knowledge
- Familiarity with mobile, remote, or modular training setups
- Adult education and instructional design experience
- Passionate about training and adult learning
- Calm, composed, and confident in high‑risk practical training scenarios
- Emotionally intelligent with strong interpersonal skills
- Adaptable teaching style for diverse backgrounds and learning needs
- Strong leadership, observation, and communication skills
