What It Takes
To be Successful in this Role You Will Need:
- Students must have completed CMPT 1105, CMPT 1109 or CMPT 1209 by the end of the semester in which they are applying to work and received or expect to receive a B+ grade or higher.
- Must have a basic working knowledge of C++, MS Visual Studio, Windows, and Internet Explorer. Knowledge of Python is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist instructors and new students in the computer labs, at the New Westminster campus.
- The domestic student must be enrolled in, and maintain, a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College throughout the work term; OR
- The domestic student must have been enrolled in, and maintained, a minimum of one or more (3 credit) courses at Douglas College in the term immediately preceding the work term and has indicated an intention to enroll at the college in the term immediately following the work term; OR
- The domestic student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of two or more (3 credit) courses at another accredited public post-secondary institution in B.C. throughout the work term
- The international student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of 9 credits at Douglas College, throughout the Summer term; OR
- The international student must be enrolled in, and maintain a minimum of 3 credits in the Summer term, AND must have been enrolled in at least 9 credits for each of the preceding Fall and Winter terms; OR
- The international student, if he/she is a new student to Douglas College as of the Winter term, must have been enrolled in full-time studies (a minimum of 9 credits for the Winter term) AND must be…
