We are looking for a part-time First Aid Instructor to join our Paladin team! This position is forecasted to be 24-hours per week, teaching either Basic First Aid (BFA) or Intermediate First Aid (IFA) at our office in Burnaby. In this role, you will facilitate hands-on instruction, evaluate participant performance, and ensure our training meets certification and regulatory standards.
If interested in full-time work, additional hours can potentially be supplemented with work in the field as a Security Officer at one of our many sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver engaging and accurate BFA and IFA trainingPrepare training materials, equipment, and course documentationEvaluate participant performance and issue certifications as applicableMaintain accurate training records, attendance, and reportsPromote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environmentStay current with first aid guidelines, safety standards, and instructional best practicesProvide feedback and recommendations to improve training programsRepresent the organization professionally during all training sessionsOther duties as required to meet operational needsREQUIREMENTS:
Must have held an Intermediate First Aid / Occupational First Aid Level 2 certificate for at least two (2) yearsInstructor certifications for BFA and IFA, or the willingness and ability to attend and pass an instructor certification course (which will be paid and provided for)Prior teaching, training, or supervisory experience is considered an assetPhysical ability to complete all duties of the role, which includes but is not limited to standing, walking, bending, and kneelingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting to groupsExperience with Paladin Security and/or in the security industry would be an asset
