Credential and Experience
Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with CCHPBCMinimum of 2 years full time clinical practice as an RMTHighly desired but not required experience in a previous administrative role in an accredited educational institution or work environmentKnowledge and Skills
Understanding of massage therapy field in British ColumbiaAbility to utilize a variety of teaching methods and tools to adapt to student needs and promote engagementAbility to promote critical thinking and problem solvingStrong personal and inter-personal communication skillsProfessional and responsibleRole: To provide practical instruction in a clinical practicum setting to the students in the Competency Based RMT Program
Specific Tasks
Perform day-to-day planning and coordination of the intern student educational activities in WCCMT’s on-site and outreach clinical settingsPerform direct student supervision including tutorial instruction, treatment demonstration, student evaluation and feedback in both on-site and outreach clinical settingsCorrelate the didactic and clinical components of the massage therapy program, assist students to apply their theoretical knowledge to the practice of massage therapy and work towards integration of the educational programPreserve educational cohesiveness without compromising patient-care responsibilities in the on-site clinic or other educational facilityParticipate in a minimum of one module per instructional year of an Instructor Development program and attend Professional Development daysPlease submit a cover letter indicating your time availability and a resume to
