The School of Construction and the Environment at BCIT seeks a knowledgeable instructor to oversee the Geospatial Applications course. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in ecology, geography, or geospatial sciences along with proven GIS expertise, especially in ArcGIS Pro.
Your role will involve delivering lectures, mentoring students, and assessing their work to develop their problem-solving skills in real environmental scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct lectures and facilitate dynamic learning environments
• Assess student projects and provide constructive feedback
• Tailor course content to fit your expertise
• Support hands-on learning experiences for students
• Adapt to program requirements based on team feedback
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in geospatial or environmental science
• Strong knowledge of GIS, especially ArcGIS Pro
• Proven skills in environmental data analysis
• Excellent communication and mentoring abilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing program needs
