Position: American Sign Language Educator Role

As an ASL Educator, you will guide students under the direction of the Vice-Principal, ensuring they receive comprehensive support in developing ASL skills. You will work within educational teams to facilitate language acquisition methods while influencing the curriculum through participation in committees. Building appreciation for bilingual educational practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver ASL instruction both in person and online

• Organize and lead professional development workshops

• Support assistants and promote ASL immersion group activities

• Assess students' ASL skills effectively

• Create educational resources and videos in ASL

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in ASL or related field

• At least three years in a K-12 educational setting

• Strong communication and writing abilities

• Proficient in computer software applications

• Ability to foster and evaluate staff performance
