Position: Cultural Education and Presenter Role
Location: new westminster

Join School District No. 40 as an Indigenous Cultural Presenter and lead cultural education initiatives. This position focuses on enhancing student engagement and awareness through Indigenous perspectives.
As a key member of the Indigenous Education team, you will collaborate in developing culturally responsive programs aimed at integrating Indigenous teachings into the curriculum. You will work closely with educators to create workshops, storytelling sessions, and cultural activities that promote inclusivity and understanding of Indigenous cultures, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate Indigenous cultural workshops and presentations

• Implement culturally relevant curriculum aligned with education goals

• Build relationships with community partners and Indigenous families

• Support Indigenous events, field trips, and cultural experiences

• Document and report on educational initiatives
Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 and relevant post-secondary education

• In-depth understanding of Indigenous cultural contexts

• Strong presentation and collaboration skills

• BC Driver’s Licence and ability to travel

• Experience working with diverse age groups
