Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in advancing the district's strategic goals. This senior leadership position ensures operational and strategic leadership for K-12 schools and initiatives, enhancing student learning and well-being. A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a portfolio of K-12 schools and staff
• Mentor school administrators effectively
• Align resources with student learning needs
• Foster inclusive and safe learning environments
• Drive district-wide strategic planning and improvement
Requirements:
• Master’s in Educational Leadership or related field
• Valid BC Teaching Certificate in good standing
• Significant K-12 leadership experience
• Proven ability to lead collaborative teams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
