Location: new westminster
Join Douglas College’s Social Work Department to teach and inspire students in the Bachelor of Social Work program at Coquitlam Campus. Leverage your knowledge and pedagogical skills to foster engaging learning experiences.
As a Contract Faculty member, your role will focus on delivering high-quality instruction and planning course activities aimed at maximizing student engagement. Your collaborative spirit will contribute to departmental goals, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically. Active participation in faculty initiatives will also enhance the overall educational landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures and facilitate classes for undergraduate courses
• Develop innovative learning activities for students
• Assess and support student learning and development
• Collaborate with Social Work department colleagues
• Partake in initiatives and projects that promote social work education
Requirements:
• Masters degree in Social Work;
Doctorate is a plus
• 5 years of experience in relevant fields
• In-depth understanding of social work methods
• Experience applying critical, anti-oppressive approaches
• Teaching experience in higher education or community formats
